Aviator & Flight Jackets

Aviator jackets were made for open cockpits, which is why the heavier ones still feel at home on a freezing sidewalk. This collection gathers a dozen flight-style pieces for men and women, made to order from $299.99 to $349.99.

Styles and materials. Most are sheepskin or lambskin with an artificial fur or faux shearling lining, finished with a fur collar and adjustable throat belt or belted fur cuffs. Choose from RAF and USAAF-inspired B-3 cuts, a brown hooded flight jacket with a removable hood, an olive green lambskin aviator, a black aviator with a notched collar and a women's brown aviator with belted cuffs. There's also a cotton flight suit jacket for a lighter, movie-inspired look.

How to choose. A leather aviator jacket is usually boxier than a biker, so it leaves room for a thick knit underneath; our layering guide shows how to build warmth without bulk. For a closer cut, compare the bomber jackets; for maximum warmth, see the full shearling and fur-lined collection or our winter jackets and coats.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between an aviator and a bomber jacket?

The terms overlap. Here, aviator usually means a heavier flight jacket with a wide fur collar and belted closures, while bombers also include lighter rib-knit styles. Several B-3 cuts appear in both collections.

What are the linings made of?

Most aviators here use an artificial fur or faux shearling lining, and each product spec names its lining. For details on a specific collar, email [email protected] before ordering.

Should I size up for an aviator?

Usually not, since the cut is roomy. Measure over the sweater you plan to wear and check our size guide.

How long does delivery take?

Making your jacket takes 1–3 business days, and standard shipping in the US takes 2–4 business days. Unworn pieces can be returned within 7 days of delivery.
